This is going to be a very brief post. The other day I read an article at the New Yorker that was very interesting. The article by Eliza Griswold looks at the growing black evangelical movement and how many are stepping up to combat the white religious right. Many blacks are tired of being lumped in with the Jerry Falwell Jrs and other like minded personalities. There are a number of blacks who are concerned about black imprisonment, social justice issues, racism and many other topics. I would encourage you to read this article called, “Evangelicals of Color Fight Back Against the Religious Right.
