From the EFCA, to churches in the Washington, D.C. area and in the greater United States this is a look at how has this blog influenced churches and people. This blog is introducing a new description. Its called the #WonderingEagleEffect Continue reading

In Having Jason Dees on the Church Planting Podcast New City Network’s Clint Clifton Validates Mark Noll’s Scandal of the Evangelical Mind
Clint Clifton from the New City Network had Jason Dees from Christ Covenant Church in Atlanta, Georgia on the Church Planting Podcast recently. In having on Dees its clear that Clifton cares nothing about abuse. But when you look at other people that Clint Clifton has given airtime to, its clear that his lack of critical thinking skills proves that Mark Noll is correct about the scandal of the evangelical mind. Also is Clint Clifton ever going to acknowledge the Scott Woods situation from McLean Bible in the New City Network? Woods allegedly groomed teenager buys for planned sexual abuse. Continue reading

How the COVID-19 Pandemic is Going to Reveal the Dark Flaws and Systemic Issues of Evangelical Christianity
The COVID-19 pandemic is going to reveal the dark problems and systemic issues of evangelicalism. In the next couple of years some of the ordinary problems inside evangelicalism are going to be magnified as the system reacts to stress. Narcissism that puts people’s health in jeopardy and obsession with money will be an issue. Also expect to see many church plants be disrupted and closed. In a couple of years I would like to re-visit this post and re-examine some of the claims I am making today. Continue reading

In Studying at the Masters Seminary Tony Kibic of Mosaic City Church in Fairfax, Virginia Illustrates How Evangelical Christianity Will Indefinitely Struggle With Domestic and Sexual Abuse
One of the churches in the New City Network in the Washington, D.C. area is Mosaic City Church. Tony Kibic who serves at Mosaic is pursuing his education through John MacArthur’s The Master’s Seminary. For Tony, to pursue his education through a school that a couple of years back demanded that a rape victim repent to her rapist for tempting him illustrates why Evangelical Christianity will never rise above the sexual or domestic abuse issue. Not only are too many evangelicals infatuated with celebrity pastors, but abuse is inconvenient. Then you also have to figure in what Mark Noll said about the scandal of the evangelical mind. The Wondering Eagle is notifying McLean Bible and the Washington, D.C, area to a predatory situation that occurred in 2016 and 2017. Scott Woods an adult volunteer at McLean Bible The Rock Ministries allegedly engaged in sexting and tried to groom minors for abuse he planned to commit after they turned 18. David Platt claimed he would take a strong stand on sexual abuse after the Mark Aderholt situation. Yet in this situation David Platt has been silent even when notified, but he has no problem talking about sex trafficking in Nepal. Yes #SomethingNeedstoChange, the Scott Woods story reinforces why the Southern Baptist Convention is struggling with sexual abuse. Even with Caring Well scheduled to start in early October of 2019.
