Joseph Haydn is probably one of the most gifted composers who lived. When I was reading about him the other day I had noticed that many believed he was just full of talent to the point that even later in life that his body was breaking down and he couldn’t get it all out. He is considered the “Father of the symphony”, and “Father of the String Quartet”. I included the Surprise Symphony which I dearly love. That said enjoy!
“Surprise” Symphony 94
“London” Symphony 104
Seven Last Words of Christ
Love it! Haydn with Bernstein conducting? What’s not to like? I must confess though I’m partial to Ludwig Van Beethoven and have been since I was a kid.
