Cults, unhealthy religious organizations or ministries often take advantage of people in times of suffering or stress and exploit their emotions. For Giving Tuesday Rod Stafford’s Fairfax Community Church did a financial campaign that this blog views as highly manipulative. In a fourteen hour period the church pressured people to give money to the church and did so in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. This church has long been abusive through their financial campaigns and been greedy. The issue of the Confederate flag and Confederate statues has been in the news a lot lately. This post offers some thoughts on this issue. We need to remember that the Confederacy lost the Civil War.
