How Should David Powlison of the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation Be Remembered?

David Powlison of the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF) died on Friday June 7, 2019 in Glenside, Pennsylvania. David Powlison was a giant in the Biblical Counseling movement. His organization worked closely with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors and influenced evangelical thought on counseling.  In addition CCEF supported and worked closely with Sovereign Grace Ministries. This blog wrote about how CCEF turned away an alleged domestic abuse victim who was allegedly almost killed in a domestic abuse situation from a corrupt Evangelical Free Church in Pennsylvania. In the end when you see what David Powlison supported and the corrupt ministries he championed its this blog’s contention that David Powlison is a solid example of what a wasted life looks like. Will the Great Commission Collective Investigate Garrett Higbee’s Ethical Issues in Light of His Spying for James MacDonald?

Recently information came forward that Garrett Higbee spied on a person for James MacDonald. He did this while leading Soul Care Counseling at Harvest Bible Chapel. Not All Churches are That Bad. The Cognitive Dissonance of Tim Allchin and a Response to a Blog Post at the Website of Biblical Counseling Center

Tom Allchin wrote an article for the Biblical Counseling Center saying that not all churches are that bad. Tim, who used to come from Harvest Bible Chapel Naperville (Today Highpoint) reveals in the article that he just doesn’t get it. I guess living in the bubble will do that to you. This article offers a response and says that it is much worse than Tim will admit. When you consider the Harvest Bible Chapel fiasco, combined with Sovereign Grace Ministries and Acts 29 issues the evangelical church is in a state of crisis and deeply corrupt. Perhaps its hard for someone like Tim who draws a paycheck from the evangelical industrial complex to actually admit this issue.

Does Christian Counseling & Education Foundation Take Domestic Abuse Seriously? Why is Steve Estes Still on the Board of Directors?

Steve Estes is still on the board of directors of Christian Counseling & Education Foundation (CCEF.) I remain baffled after everything that took place in Elverson, Pennsylvania that he would still be on the board. This blog would like to ask if CCEF takes domestic abuse seriously? If they did then they would remove Steve Estes from the organization and see that he is unfit to serve.  Continue reading
