Roy Moore is involved in a controversial Senate race in Alabama. Moore a favorite of evangelicals for fighting their culture wars and was hit with allegations of child molestation by the Washington Post. As the scandal grew many evangelicals dug in and reaffirmed their support of Roy Moore. Russell Moore from the Southern Baptist’s ERLC got involved in tearing apart Roy Moore’s evangelical defenders. Jessica Cole on the Vital Role Women Play in the Church (EFCA Eastern District Conference)

A response to Jessica Cole’s talk as given at the Eastern District Conference at Faith Church in October of 2017. The wife of the Eastern District Superintendent spoke about the vital role women can play in the church.  This professional talk is going to run into problems especially as the EFCA is struggling with Neo-Calvinism. This post is a response to that talk in line with the other post I penned about the Eastern District Conference. Continue reading

Cornerstone’s Bill Kynes Preaching at Redeeming Grace Church (Formerly Sovereign Grace Fairfax) Illustrates How Corrupt Churches are Kept Afloat

While going through the social media of Redeeming Grace Church in Fairfax I notice that Senior Pastor Bill Kynes of Cornerstone preached  in 2015 and supported a corrupt church hemorrhaging  allegations of child sex abuse.  This overlooks the allegations dogging Redeeming Grace Church and asks if tribalism is a core value to be a Neo-Calvinist. After all in the EFCA you have Bill preaching and supporting a questionable church and you also have D.A. Carson attacking someone who was allegedly raped at the young age of 13 defending C.J. Mahaney.  Continue reading

How the Sovereign Grace Ministry Child Sex Abuse Scandal Makes the Nashville Statement Worthless

A look at the Nashville Statement and how it was made worthless by the Sovereign Grace Ministries child sex abuse scandal. This looks at the Nashville Statement briefly and asks the question, how could C.J. Mahaney sign such a statement? So being gay or certain forms of sexual activity is sin; yet the alleged cover-up of the rape of a child is fine? Plus the timing of the statement was really awful considering Hurricane Harvey and the Neo-Nazi riot in Charlottesville, VirginiaContinue reading

A post explaining why David Platt needs to be rejected by McLean Bible at the next congregation meeting. There are many reasons why David should be rejected and this goes into all the details. To understand modern evangelicalism one should know Maccavilli and George Orwell. McLean Bible is in the midst of a theological coup and I believe that Lon Solomon is being forced out against his will.  Continue reading

An Overview of McLean Bible’s Townhall Meeting; Plus is McLean Bible Controlling the Question Process?

An overview of McLean Bible’s town hall meeting on September 21, 2017. It was a question and answer session where people could submit questions to David Platt and the leaders of the Elder Board. Lon Solomon as well as Dale Sutherland, Larry Cooper and  Tom McMahon all call for David Platt to be McLean’s next Teaching Pastor. Meanwhile The Wondering Eagle is concerned about McLean controlling the questioning process. I published in this post the question that I submitted which asks David Platt who participates in T4G why he has been silent on the SGM child sex abuse scandal.  Continue reading
