Todd Bell is an Independent Fundamentalist Baptist Pastor in Maine who led a wedding in the Millinocket area. Whereas Maine was doing well with COVID-19 this wedding triggered a massive outbreak that affected people as far as 200 miles away. So far at least eight people are dead as this situation drags on. Meanwhile Russell Moore from the Southern Baptist’s ERLC got involved in tearing apart Roy Moore’s evangelical defenders. Today’s post at The Wondering Eagle deals with the controversial Senate race in Alabama, evangelical Christianity’s culture wars,  the issue of child molestation, and national politics all clashing together.  Continue reading

A recommended read that came out a while back from Politico. This deals with the history of the evangelical culture wars and corrects the notion that the legalization of abortion triggered them. This also includes a Saturday Night Live parody on the culture wars called, “God is a Boob Man.”  Continue reading
