Does Greg Strand Realize the Lost Art of Admitting Error? Or Will Tribalism Rule the Day in the EFCA?

This is a post that looks at tribalism and how it is a danger in our society. Tribalism exists in religion, government and culture today. The EFCA by encouraging D.A. Carson to apologizing for attacking a rape victim from Sovereign Grace can take the moral high ground in encouraging Carson to retract his statement and the EFCA can issue a statement saying they take abuse seriously and in the aftermath of their pre-conference they are grateful that D.A. Carson is doing the right thing. So this blog would like to ask, will Greg Strand have his John McCain or Mitt Romney moment and will the EFCA rise to the occasion and do the right thing? Carson once lashed out at a rape victim from Sovereign Grace to defend C.H. Mahaney. This blog would like to ask if Greg Strand takes abuse seriously? Is it possible for the EFCA to follow what Jesus said about admitting mistakes and stop worshiping him and make things right? That is the question today’s post deals with. Continue reading

When the EFCA is Tone Deaf to Evangelical Scandals. Why is Ed Stetzer Speaking at EFCA One in Chicago?

The EFCA One conference is being held in Chicago in June of 2019. One of the key speaker/teachers/trainers is Ed Stetzer. Yes that Ed Stetzer who doesn’t know what ethics is. The Wondering Eagle wants to raise the question, why is the EFCA tone deaf to scandals in evangelicalism? Do they care about the Christian faith and the Gospel?  Continue reading
