On June 18, 2019 the Evangelical Free Church of America is meeting in Chicago, Illinois for their biennial conference known as EFCA One. At this event, its this blog’s hope that the EFCA will discuss sexual assault and abuse. That it will be spurred to from events in the Southern Baptist Convention to what is playing out in society. Mass shootings are sadly becoming more frequent in our society. I have interacted with people affected by Columbine and the Navy Yard Shooting. One of the most vulnerable places for a shooting is a church. And the Eastern District of the EFCA is promoting an event that takes place at Faith Church in Allentown, Pennsylvania on June 19, 2019 that asks the question. The EFCA One conference is being held in Chicago in June of 2019. One of the key speaker/teachers/trainers is Ed Stetzer. Yes that Ed Stetzer who doesn’t know what ethics is. The same Stetzer who accepted gifts from James MacDonald while writing about him for Christianity Today. The same Ed Stetzer that has tried to silence people from the Harvest Bible Chapel scandal. Its time for the EFCA to act and do the right thing. After all Al Mohler of the Southern Baptists has recanted and addressed the issue. Why is the EFCA staying silent?
