In the Wake of Dark Scandals in Evangelicalism the EFCA’s Tom Nelson and Nathan Miller at Christ Community Talk About Accountability

Christ Community Church in the Kansas City area releases a video about accountability in light of some of the scandals that have happened in modern evangelicalism. Tom Nelson and Nathan Miller’s video is encouraging and this blog welcomes their discussion on transparency. Its good that they are getting ahead of this issue and are working on it, and for that this blog respects them for it.  Continue reading

J.D. Greear’s Southern Baptist Sewagepool. Driving out the Beth Moore’s and Embracing the Bryan Loritts

J.D. Greear has become known for his corruption and mismanagement of the Southern Baptist Convention. In the process he has defended and gone to bat for Bryan Loritts who is known for his alleged cover-up of voyeurism and child pornography at Fellowship Memphis. Meanwhile his convention is driving away people like Beth Moore at the same time. He attracts the corrupt and drives away the faithful. Its the sewage pond of the Southern Baptists and every day Greear puts on his suit, climbs into the pond of shit and works to make it worse. And then he expects to hear, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” To those in the Convention it is time to leave. Continue reading

“Why is Sex Such a Huge Deal For You Guys?”

The other day I listened to a podcast and the question came up to an evangelical from a mainstream Protestant and former Catholic. The question is why is sex such a huge deal for you guys? The question drew me back to my false accusation mess. I observed how a member of Jordan Kauflin or Eric Simmons Redeemer Arlington was so focused on avoiding sexual sin, but other situations such as the false accusation I endured were not sinful. The hyper focus on sexual sin makes evangelicalism toxic as people end up downplaying other sin. I hope this post makes sense as I have been working on it for a day now.  Continue reading

Ricky Jenkins is at Southwest Church at Indian Wells, California and the EFCA is Now Ensnared in the Acts 29 Fellowship Memphis Voyeurism and Child Pornography Scandal

Ricky Jenkins who was on staff of Fellowship Memphis is one of the first pastors to learn about Rick Trotter’s voyeurism. He also did not report the deviant sex crime to the Memphis Police. Today he is a lead pastor at the EFCA’s Southwest Church in Indian Wells, California. The EFCA is now ensnared in in the Acts 29 Fellowship Memphis scandal. This blog believes that if a child is sexually abused in Indian Wells this church will try and cover it up internally instead of contacting the police. Why? Fellowship Memphis covered up a deviant sex crime and Ricky Jenkins mentor Bryan Loritts did it well.  Continue reading

Beth Moore Leaves the Southern Baptist Convention. What Does This Mean? The Convention is Dying…

In an interview with the Religion News Service Beth Moore explains that she is leaving the Southern Baptist Convention. Issues such as sexual abuse and how women are treated are part of it. But the rise of Christian nationalism and the embrace of Donald Trump in 2016 stunned her. The tipping point is seeing the same Baptists who went after Bill Clinton for his sexual affairs defending or explaining away Donald Trumps’ sexual abuse. This article is an overview of a number of issues that Beth Moore had with the Southern Baptist Convention. What does her departure mean? Well the Convention is dying. The death of the SBC will be good as the organization is not healthy, and instead corrupt and filled with rot. From its founding in 1845 until 2021 the organization has not moved very far over 170 years. Continue reading

Greg Strand Fumbles Sexual Abuse in the EFCA. Its Been a Month Since the Miller & Martin Report on Zacharias Sexual Abuse and the EFCA Leader Stays Silent. Meanwhile It Took Strand 24 Hours to Address The Equality Act. Why Does the EFCA Downplay Sexual Abuse?

Greg Strand has a message to all those who like to sexually abuse and those who also travel to Thailand for abuse. His message is that you’re welcome to come to the EFCA. We tolerate and welcome sexual abusers with open arms and big smiles! This is the message Greg Strand is sending as he says silent on the Ravi Zacharias situation with the Miller & Martin report. Ravi Zacharias as this blog wrote about had close ties to Trinity who frequently invited and gave the discredited abuser/evangelist a platform often. While Greg Strand is silent on sex abuse he is more fearful of a gay person. This was all communicated when it took just 24 hours for Greg Strand to address The Equality Act at the national EFCA blog. Yet a month has gone by and the Miller & Martin report remains unaddressed. This blog didn’t realize how shallow and fragile the faith of the EFCA’s executive director of theology and credentialing ultimately is.  Continue reading

Marty Baron, The Editor for The Washington Post Known for his Expose of the Roman Catholic Pedophilia Scandal at The Boston Globe – Is Retiring

Marty Baron is retiring. The former editor of The Boston Globe steered the newspaper through its coverage of the child sex abuse scandal within the Roman Catholic Church in Boston. It became the story of my generation, the issue of sexual abuse inside the Catholic Church. Baron who became the editor of The Washington Post retires at the end of February. This blog wishes him well and thanks Marty for his commitment to truth and investigative journalism. Continue reading

The Shallow Faith of Tim Tebow. Will the Celebrity Christian Athlete Weep For the Women Ravi Zacharias Abused and Raped?

As the Ravi Zacharias scandal continues there is one aspect that is particularly troubling. Its the silence by Tim Tebow. Tebow described the scandal plagued evangelist as his personal hero. Meanwhile he has not acknowledged the Miller & Marten report documenting sexual abuse by Ravi Zacharias. And as such he has not empathized for the victims of rape and sexual abuse whether it be in Canada, Georgia or Thailand. That is damning, especially for an individual whose ministry focuses on human trafficking. In an Instagram video Tebow was near tears as Ravi Zacharias was dying of cancer. Will he weep for the victims that Zacharias abused? Continue reading
