The Washington Post had a deep and long article about sexual abuse inside evangelical Christianity. The article looks at different situations and is one of the best reads I have seen in a while. This is a brief post Continue reading
There is one aspect to Neo-Calvinists that I have noticed. You can see this in the behavior of Mark Driscoll, C.J. Mahaney and an Air Force Captain from Jordan Kauflin’s Redeemer Arlington. All of them fled when they should have worked out their problems. All of them fled while believing in Biblical Manhood and in church discipline. All they left in their wake was pain, trauma and fractured lives. For the Neo-Calvinist this is also “sound doctrine.” Continue reading
For the second time in the history of T4G C.J. Mahaney withdraws from this national conference in Louisville, Kentucky. This post looks over his withdrawal in 2014 due to the SGM lawsuit and his withdrawal in 2018 due to Rachael Denhollander challenging Mahaney over the allegations of cover up of child sex abuse in SGM. The fact that Mahaney keeps withdrawing shows how corrupt he is and why he should not be in ministry. In other words he is a fraud. Continue reading
Is Blackhawk Fitchburg Neo-Calvinist and a part of 9 Marks? This looks at an Evangelical Free Church in the Madison, Wisconsin area. If Blackhawk Fitchburg is not Neo-Calvinist why are they in the 9 Marks church search? Does this validate Mark Noll’s theory on the Scandal of the Evangelical Mind? Or is Blackhawk Fitchburg just confused? Continue reading
This is an examination of the relationship between John MacArthur and C.J. Mahaney. This looks at all the times Mahaney preached at Resolved. Plus there is a question that must be asked..did John MacArthur or Grace to You receive large financial gifts from C.J. Mahaney or Sovereign Grace? It is well within reason to ask that given how Mahaney gave money to other individuals or organizations allegedly to influence. This also looks at how MacArthur treated Mark Driscoll vs. C.J. Mahaney. Continue reading
On April 14, 2016 a deeply disturbing conversation took place on Phil Johnson’s Facebook page. Phil Johnson made a statement on the C.J. Mahnaney situation and the alleged cover up of child sex abuse in Sovereign Grace Ministries. Phil ultimately said that if specific and detailed evidence comes forth detailing it, then he would believe. Instead he went after Brent Detwiler and the victims from SGM. This is an old topic but one of the many I have been wanting to write about. Continue reading
Brent Detwiler wrote a well researched post that looks at how P.J. Smyth allegedly mislead Covenant Life Church on his knowledge of what John Smyth allegedly did when he abused boys. This is basically a brief post to highlight Brent’s article. Continue reading
This is the story of the fall of Richard Nixon. On August 5, 1974 the “Smoking Gun” tape was released and Nixon’s Presidency was over. Facing impeachment articles, which were moving out of the House Judiciary Committee, the President would resign in disgrace in a matter of days. This post is also about the repulsive behavior of C.J. Mahaney, who like Nixon, also fell from power. There is a huge difference between the two, as Nixon learned from his mistakes and exhibited humility. Mahaney, who was “known” for his humility, was a fraud who just ran and fled when his allegations of criminal conduct came to the surface. This post, which is a history lesson is designed to teach the Senior Pastor of Sovereign Grace Louisville, what he could learn from the 37th President of the United States when it comes to humility.
A disturbing post at Desiring God is the subject of today’s article. Jon Bloom a Sovereign Grace pastor and co-founder of Desiring God claims that disicpline is crucial for spiritual growth. If true, when is C.J. Manahey going to face discipline for his alleged criminal activities, blackmail and the alleged cover up of child sex abuse? This response to Jon is going to be very blunt.
Recently Sovereign Grace Fairfax changed its name to Redeeming Grace Church. Its my belief that this church changed its name due to the baggage from the last SGM lawsuit. Little has changed as its still the same outfit, with Mark Mullery in control. This is an organization that should still be avoided and that is the purpose of today’s post. Continue reading
