Can a church plant be the fruit of sin? Recently the New City Network of McLean Bible planted Mosaic City Church in a trendy and hopping area of Fairfax, Virginia. One of the partnering churches is Kenji Adachi’s All Peoples Community Church which was sponsored by Fellowship Memphis. Fellowship Memphis covered up the voyeurism and child pornography of its worship pastor Rick Trotter back in 2010 and it broke in 2016. Does the planting of churches that have connections to Fellowship Memphis reveal or show how the Southern Baptist Convention is struggling with sex abuse or sex crimes? These are questions that need to be asked.
On March 31, 2019 John Park an EFCA Pastor at Ambassador Bible Church in Chantilly, Virginia preached about how Christians should love. Fellowship Memphis had a deeply disturbing scandal that allegedly involved voyeurism and child pornography. Where does Kenji stand on the situation? Crossway Fellowship in Mansass, Virginia installs Kyle Brenon as the new Senior Pastor. This post over looks the changes in Crossway and wishes Kyle well. At the same time The Wondering Eagle does an overview of the EFCA in the Washington, D.C. area and illustrates that the problems of Neo-Calvinism are deeply entrenched. In conclusion, if you are not a Neo-Calvinist, you are going to be a refugee from the EFCA in the D.C. area.
