The Conspiracy Driven World of the Followers of Bethel in Redding

Take a look at some of the conspiracies pushed by the followers of Bethel Church in Redding, California. I saw this linked to Beni Johnson’s Instagram account. This is telling and reveals to me that Bethel is a sick movement. In this post you have most of the major conspiracies that made their rounds in the last couple of years.

“Vaccine conspiracies, like so much modern cult conspiracy culture, perpetuates itself and lives on indefinitely thanks to the community-building and archiving of the Internet.

Alex Pareene

I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life.

Psalm 119:93 NLT

Beni Johnson is on the left.

Last night as I was wolfing down some Chipotle for dinner I was cruising social media. With the changing COVID situation I wanted to see what a number of evangelicals are saying about the changing rules. So as I was looking at Instagram I was looking at Beni Johnson’s page. I noticed what one Bethel follower linked to and was horrified. Stop and look at what was posted.

Bethel is Nothing But Conspiracies, Conspiracies and Conspiracies

Look at that list. How many code words do you see for Q Anon? How many code words do you see for the January 6, insurrection and Christian nationalism? How many code words do you see for fringe conspiracies for the pandemic? How many code words do you see for the New Apostolic Reformation? These are the followers of Bethel. They think Donald Trump will be reinstated shortly. They also believe the pandemic is a myth or that it is planned to take over the country. They don’t believe in science. They think Bill Gates and Dr. Fauci are involved in creating the pandemic and should be arrested. They are in touch with not only Bethel but The Elijah List as well. Can someone please tell me when a church is this political why does Bethel still have its 501(c)(3)? Can that be explained? In short you have almost many of the main conspiracies pushed by this crowd for the last couple of years. This also shows how social media can’t screen or catch people like this still pushing dangerous conspiracies that can get people killed or lead to violence. The Plandemic should not be on there, nor should many of the code words for Q Anon. I saw this earlier this evening and wanted to do a brief and fast post about this to highlight the problems of Bethel and also its followers. The followers of Bethel are sick. What does that imply or translate for Bethel itself?

  1. And just how do they think their hero (Donald Trump) is going to be reinstated?
Will Jesus himself come down from heaven and reinstall him?
Are they planning the violent overthrow of the American Government?

“We’ll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song…

      • It really does beggar the mind.
These are salt of the earth good people, Evangelical or no.
Most of them wouldn’t say shit if they had a mouthful.
What did they ever see in a man like that as their champion?
        It defies logic and proportion.

      • I don’t know the demographic at this church but based on the code words, I can guess.

The conspiracy gives a sense of belonging.

We have secret knowledge. We’re on the inside track. It gets to the point where no one wants to be left out.

For a lot of these folks, the faith is family, friends and entire social network.

Even if it’s nutty as hell they’re going to go along with it or at least not go against it.

They are told they are persecuted. They believe the unbelieving masses are at the gate.

They have lost every battle in the culture war, including the Jan insurrection. And now the tide is tipping due to the shift in demographic.

        They are extremely poor losers.

I believe that church should not be the entirety of life.

We need a diversity of interests of which faith can be an aspect.

Though the end game is a way off, the evangelical ship is starting to list.

      • Because after decades of Culture War, surrounded and PERSECUTED by all those Heathens, they got a new LORD and God who WILL Win The Culture War and give them all they want — to sit at His left and right hand as their RIghteousness and Moral Fury entitle them. Over a Truly CHRISTIAN Nation.

A lot of this is focused on Morality as Pelvic Issues, with Abortion, HOMOSEXUALITY, and EVILution as Satan’s Antichrist Trinity. I remember radio preachers during the Seventies/Eighties yelling from the pulpit that Acceptance of HOMOSEXUALITY was THE point of no return in a country’s fall, the Unpardonable SuperSin that unleashes the Wrath of God in Full Fury. (As the concentration camp castration doctor in Leon Uris QB VII put it, “If I don’t take your balls, the SS will have mine.”)

This Speshul Sekrit Knowledge was once called “Gnosticism” and its followers “Gnostics” – period Greek for “He Who KNOWS Things”.

    • Remember how that song ends, Muff:

      “Meet the New Boss –
      Same as the Old Boss!”

After a verse about the Revolution splintering into Ideologically-Pure Factions that turn on each other until (like Highlander) There Can Be Only One:

“And a parting on the Left
Becomes a paring on the Right…”

Ever heard of the Trump phrase “Second Amendment Solution”?
AKA “Turner Diaries: The Live Role-Playing Game”?

  2. Muff and Wondering Eagle,

I see evangelicals buying into all this conspiracy stuff as no different that then heresies of the Gnostics in the 1st and 2nd centuries with all the sins of pride, self, “special” secret knowledge that only the insiders know, etc.

    • Speshul Sekrit Knowledge (known only to WE Illuminated Few) is the definition of “Gnosticism” and said Speshul Sekrit Illuminati the defintion of “Gnostic” = “He Who KNOWS Things”.
