Baptist News Global Op-Ed: What You Should Know About the COVID-19 Vaccine and Why You Should Take It

The Baptist News Global had a solid op-ed recently answering questions about the COVID-19 vaccine and it helps explain why evangelicals should take the vaccine. Is a good article that this blog wants to push.

If everything is God’s will, then so is the invention of the vaccine, just like the seatbelt.

Like a maniac shooting flaming arrows of death 19 is one who deceives their neighbor
and says, β€œI was only joking!”

Proverbs 26:18-19 NIV

This is going to be a brief post but I saw an op-ed in Baptist News Global by two people who work in medicine that I thought is important to read. The article answers basic questions about the COVID-19 vaccine and also clears up misinformation that is floating around on the web. From safety to concerns about the origins of the vaccine, this is a good article to read if you have questions. You can read the article in, “6 things you should know about the COVID vaccine.”Β

  1. Fourth, the COVID-19 vaccine will not change your DNA.

While getting my weirdness fix on late-night AM radio, Coast to Coast AM keeps having on-air who keep PROVING that not only is the vaccine the Mark of the Beast, it will also rewrite your DNA to turn you into a Nephilim.

And this is NOT a Christian station, though nowadays it has “Bible Prophecy Experts” on the air about once a week. What happened to UFOs, ghosts, and cryptids?

  2. I thought the only side-effect of the vaccination was to make you think that Windows Edge is the best browser EVER and that MS Windows ME and Vista were best operating systems EVER? πŸ˜€

  3. But then again, Baptist News Global only speaks for – and to – the sane version of Baptism. I have for years admired their ability to stay out of any culture wars and keep away the crazy.

      • I would point out that there sane Calvinists out there, but you generally find them in various Presbyterian or Continental (like Dutch Reformed) circles. The problem is that the YRR and Neo-Calvinist types are for the most part Baptist posers who about the only thing Calvinist about them is their soteriology. Everything else is a mishmash of Baptist polity, church governance (like Baptists have a Book of Church Order), view of the Lord’s Supper, dispy eschatology, etc. Like they picked only the entrees they like in a buffet line. The have been giving the decent Calvinists a bad name for many years now.

      • They look quite well-balanced to me, and were very critical of Trumpism and its adherents. There can’t be a lot of pressure on them to change that – anyone ready to exert that pressure has probably left the site years ago.
