Franklin Graham Calls For Evangelicals to be Vaccinated Against COVID-19. His Followers Lash Out and Attack the Evangelist. The Lesson: If You Play with Fire You Will be Burned on Disinformation

Franklin Graham recently called on evangelicals to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Graham’s followers lashed out and called him a sell out, traitor, fool, and heretic. Franklin Graham has long stoked the fires of disinformation and now he is learning you can not ride the tiger of disinformation and not be consumed. The lesson of all this is that if you play with fire, you will be burned.

The other day Franklin Graham was owned by his own people. Franklin learned a difficult and painful lesson a couple of days ago. Franklin had come out on March 24, 2021 and encouraged evangelicals to take the COVID-19 vaccine. He did this on his Facebook page. This is what he said.

The internet is full of articles, theories, data, and opinions concerning the COVID-19 vaccines—both positive and negative. There’s a lot out there for you to read. I have been asked my opinion about the vaccine by the media and others. I have even been asked if Jesus were physically walking on earth now, would He be an advocate for vaccines. My answer was that based on the parable of the Good Samaritan in the Bible, I would have to say—yes, I think Jesus Christ would advocate for people using vaccines and medicines to treat suffering and save lives. In this Scripture passage, Jesus told about a man beaten and wounded, lying on the roadside as religious leaders passed by and didn’t help. But a Samaritan, considered a social outcast of the day, becomes the hero of the story when he stops and cares for the injured man—pouring oil and wine, which were the top medicines of the day, on the man’s wounds. We also know that Jesus went from town to town healing “every disease and sickness.” He came to save life—to offer us eternal life. Did Jesus need a vaccine Himself? Of course not. He is God.

 

So, my own personal opinion is that from what we know, a vaccine can help save lives and prevent suffering. Samaritan’s Purse has operated COVID-19 emergency field hospitals, and we have seen the suffering firsthand. I also have staff and their family members who contracted the virus and spent weeks on a ventilator and months hospitalized as a result—I don’t want anyone to have to go through that. Vaccines have worked for polio, smallpox, measles, the flu and so many other deadly illnesses—why not for this virus? Since there are different vaccines available, my recommendation is that people do their research, talk to their doctor, and pray about it to determine which vaccine, if any, is right for them. My wife and I have both had the vaccine; and at 68 years old, I want to get as many more miles out of these old bones as possible!

 

And Franklin Graham’s followers in turn lashed out at him. They called him a heretic, a fool, as well as old and confused. How Christian of them! Let’s see some of their responses.

This is an experimental gene therapy covid vaccine shot and has not been fully tested. It is not even a real vaccine as we know other vaccines. It works differently and could cause immunity problems in the future.

Jesus Christ would not want us to take something into our body that affects our DNA and changes it forever. This is not what God wants us to do. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. We need to protect it.

Eating healthy, taking vitamins, especially vitamin D and zinc. Bill Gates and the globalists want to decrease the population of the world. They are pawns of Satan preparing for the one world government and the coming Antichrist.

All this vaccine brainwashing and needing covid vaccine passports is preparing people for the coming mark of the beast. Don’t be brainwashed pawns of Satan. Just say no to these fake vaccines that will probably kill a lot of people.

My friends healthy step Father got the vaccine on Sunday, massive stroke on Monday, died on Wed. These vaccines are too new, not FDA approved. No one knows the long term effects. I had Covid with almost no symptoms and have known many to recover fully with flu like symptoms. I’m not getting an FDA unapproved vaccine I have to sign a waiver releasing the company from liability over a virus with a 99.95% recovery rate and only 2% of people who contract it actually die and most of those are elderly or immune compromised. You are still required to social distance and wear a mask after the vaccine. So that in itself proves there is no trust in it. No thank you.

And I disagree with you sir. Jesus would not deceive people and tell them these are vaccines. If you do your research from the CDC this is a gene therapy. Changes your DNA. I believe Jesus would explain that to people instead of letting them believe it’s a vaccine like other vaccines. Jesus would also make sure people understand the difference between FDA approved and authorized. They are in experimental stages and people are being used as lab rats. You claim to follow Jesus Christ than do as he would do by telling the truth. You sir should be ashamed using our saviors name to push your agenda. Be honest say its gene therapy not your useal vaccine than let people choose. Again this is not FDA approved but authorized for emergency. Experimental so people check with your life insurance policies to see if you would be covered if you die from a reaction from this now or in the future. People please research.

1. Your doctrine has fallen far far short of who Jesus is and what Jesus’ stripes and work on the cross accomplished.

2. Linking the vaccine to the good samaritan is a stretch far from ar beyond the purpose, context, and intent of the parable.

3. If the vaccine had any benefit, the finished work of the cross would still negate it. There is no way around the finished work of the cross.

4. Lack of faith in the church does not change God and Jesus ‘finished work. Whether we understand the finished work completely doesn’t change the blatant scriptures of healing.

The vaccine does not give immunity as the other vaccines you mentioned. It only decreases symptoms, which could cause increased spread as people believe as you do, that they are not immune. Lordy! Look at some of those comments. Maybe a prerequisite to support Samaritan’s Purse is believing in Q Anon? You know what amazes me about all this? Seeing all these comments about vaccines and wondering about the people in his Samaritan’s Purse that need to get vaccinated before thy head over to Africa, South America, etc… Anyone who has to work in a missionary position has to take vaccines before going abroad. The IMB does this as does the EFCA ReachGlobal. You can’t be a missionary and not be vaccinated. Its a requirement. Personally I am wondering what foreign countries are going to impose on people when it comes to the COVID-19 vaccine. Its too early to know anything right now. 

 

 

Franklin Graham Here is Your Lesson. You Can’t Play With Disinformation And Not Get Burned 

For the past few years Franklin Graham has pushed disinformation. He has made outrageous claims to being persecuted. Flip flopped on adultery, said things that he is not even knowledgeable or qualified to take on or discuss. Everyone is free to have an opinion but to abuse and misuse your platform is another matter. Most recently he pushed the 2020 election disinformation narrative. Franklin Graham has been a poison in American culture and American evangelicalism. And while I support his call for people to take theCOVID-19 vaccine, and am vaccinated this blow back Franklin Graham is receiving from his followers shows the problems of playing with disinformation. Didn’t Franklin Graham’s mother pull him aside when he was growing up and said, “Frankie you don’t lie!” Franklin seems to have forgotten those lessons. So here we have a man of God who has been like an infected, pus filled sore on our culture who finally does something right.  May he learn the lesson that you can’t play with disinformation and not get burned.
