A Liberty Alumni Responds on Twitter to Jerry Prevo Taking Down John Piper’s Convocation

Calum Best is one of the individuals behind Save 71. When Liberty University took down the convocation from John Piper after he criticized Trumpism as idolatry the Liberty graduate responded on Twitter. This post is a preservation of the Twitter thread.

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Martin Luther King

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

Joshua 24:15

Jerry Prevo

The next post this blog is working on deals with how Liberty University removed material related to John Piper after the well known Neo-Calvinst leader rebuked evangelicals worshipping Trumpism as idolatry. This blog wrote about it in, “John Piper Condemns Evangelical Support of Trumpism as Idolatry.” A graduate of Liberty University who is one of the individuals supporting Save 71 had a Twitter thread about the removal of John Piper’s material at Liberty. This blog is going to preserve and add the thread which you can see below.

  1. Nasser is a cancer. He is ignoring Biblical justice for the worldly social justice, and that is why there was outrage at Jeh Johnson. He was promoting Critical Race Theory (CRT), the made up “Systemic Racism”, and the Marxist Black Lives Matter. Nasser has an agenda, and thankfully he won’t be promoting it for much longer at Liberty. He needs to go…..

It’s sad that he couldn’t eek out a degree while he was there. It might come in handy getting a job somewhere else…..

    • Thanks Johnny you are showing the world that faith is a weapon. And evangelicalism is a political party. Jesus suffered and died not for the world but for a Supreme Curt seat. Critical Race Theory is more accepted in many parts of the world. And if I were to press you to define Marxism you probably could not even do that. But I love when people like yourself comment about Liberty as you reveal how toxic the school actually is.
