Chris Hilken’s Apology to Those Formerly Involved in North Coast Church

This post is the apology that Chris Hilken made to a group of people who stood up a page on Instagram dealing with abuse from Larry Osborne’s North Coast Church. You can listen to it and think it over. Be prepared to discuss it in the next post tomorrow which is an analogy of Chris Hilken’s apology.

“Children begin by loving their parents; after a time they judge them; rarely, if ever, do they forgive them.

Oscar Wilde

I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Philippians 3:13 NLT

Chris Hilken

Tomorrow this blog is going to do an analysis of Chris Hilkin’s apology. Should those from North Coast Church accept Chris Hilken’s apology? How should it be viewed? Is this sincere? Or is this an apology of someone who is sorry that he was caught and lacks remorse?  That blog post will be followed by another blog post to Chris Hilken of an open letter on what he should have done. But this post wants to encourage people to watch the apology by Chris Hiken. This blog also understands that Chandler Hilken, Chris Hilken’s brother tried to prevent the Instagram account northcoastchurchabuse from launching. Chandler Hilken works on the tech team of North Coast Church according to my research. By the way if anyone wants to contribute to the Hilkens’ baby registry Chandler is still asking for AmazonBasics hardside spinner luggage. You can help them out here.  Nepotism tends to be a problem in evangelicalism. In some churches it becomes a family business And that creates other problems as well. But before I do an analysis of Chris Hilken’s apology I wanted to get it published this evening. Again if you have a story about North Coast Church this blog will be happy to publish that story. Expect some additional posts tomorrow.

  1. Just how old is this Chris Hilken guy?
I assume he’s legal age, but he looks like a cute high-school heartthrob in a movie. (I knew someone like that years ago; looked a LOT younger than he was. Kept getting carded until he was almost 40.)
