Who Would Jesus Sue? James MacDonald Brings a Lawsuit Against Mancow Muller Demanding Around $1 Million Dollars in Damages

James MacDonald brought a defamation lawsuit against Mancow Muller recently. This post is an overview of that situation and the history of the previous lawsuit against Julie Roys, The Elephant’s Debt and their wives. In addition there was also the lawsuit against the Evangelical Christian Credit Union as well. This current lawsuit which is going to be part of a pattern is James MacDonald bullying and being his narcissistic self. Its this blog’s belief that the future of James MacDonald will be similar to that of disgrace con artist Jim Bakker.

“If you look at any successful professional – a salesperson, a marketer, a real estate agent, a trader – they all have the same qualities as the con man. The only difference is that one side uses their talents in the right direction and the con man is taking the easy way out.”

Frank Abagnale

“Praise the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has visited and redeemed his people.
69 He has sent us a mighty Savior[a]
from the royal line of his servant David,
70 just as he promised
through his holy prophets long ago.

Luke 1:68-70

James MacDonald center and Mancow Muller right.

You mean this little old recording that talks about James MacDonald and child porn is the source of the emotional distress?

On Sunday I was in New York City and I got a message from one of the many people from Harvest Bible Chapel that l interact. They told me that James MacDonald was suing again. I sat there processing all this and was not surprised that this was happening. Let’s look at what is going on in greater detail but also some history

Background on One Lawsuit By James MacDonald Also the ECCU Lawsuit as Well

If you recall on October 16, 2018 James MacDonald and Harvest Bible Chapel brought a lawsuit against The Elephant’s Debt blog, their wives and also Julie Roys who was starting to look into Harvest Bible Chapel at the time. The lawsuit claimed that false information about the church was being disseminated, that defamation took place. You can read about the lawsuit in the following two posts. “James MacDonald and Harvest Bible Chapel Goes After The Elephant’s Debt Blog Accusing it of Defamation in a Lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court in Chicago, Illinois” and “Why did Harvest Bible Go After The Elephant’s Debt Now? What was Julie Roys Going to Break Through World Magazine that James MacDonald is Desperate to Silence?” If you recall as Julie Roys and The Elephant’s Debt were caught up in lawsuit this blog stepped into the gap and started to aggressively research and write about Harvest Bible Chapel. The lawsuit had problems, for example it was done by a DUI lawyer who did not handle that kind of law. But as the legal situation dragged on a problem developed for James MacDonald. James, who had a history of corruption, allegations of abuse and more dreaded the process of discovery. Julie Roys did that and requested James MacDonald’s tax records if I remember correctly. On January 7, 2019 James MacDonald dropped the lawsuit against all the above mentioned parties. You can read more in, “Harvest Bible Chapel Drops the Lawsuit Against The Elephant’s Debt and Julie Roys, What Does This Mean?” It’s also important to remember that James MacDonald also brought another lawsuit against the Evangelical Christian Credit Union when they balked at financing a loan for Harvest. Until this situation in December of 2019 James MacDonald was responsible for two lawsuits already.

As the Harvest Bible Chapel scandal dragged on a unique situation developed. At Walk in the Word James MacDonald was recorded talking on a hot mic as to how child pornography should be planted on the computer of the CEO of Christianity Today. You can actually listen to that recording up above. What Mancow Muller did at his radio show was to play the recording. He asked if this was James MacDonald. It sounded like him, and this blog believes it to be him. In the radio show earlier in 2019 the infamous Chicago shock jock had broadcast clips that revealed quite a bit about James MacDonald. He also claimed that James was a con-man. The reaction by Harvest was quick and the controversial Harvest Bible Chapel was fired in the middle of the night a few hours after all this happened. You can read more about that in, “Mancow Muller Produces an Audiotape of James MacDonald Allegedly Wanting to Plant Child Pornography on a “Critic’s” Computer. Harvest Bible Chapel Elder Board Promptly Fires Him” and “The Allegation of Child Pornography and James MacDonald. Also a Question for Garrett Higbee.”

James MacDonald Files a Second Lawsuit in Less Than a Year

After all that happened over the end of 2018 and early in 2019 James MacDonald is back at firing off lawsuits. On December 12, 2019 in Cook County Court James MacDonald fired off another lawsuit. He is asking for $50,000 for damages and there are 18 counts. That comes to $900,000 and its not off base to say when you consider court costs that MacDonald is most likely asking for $1 million dollars. The lawsuit also includes Cumulous Media which hosts the Mancow Muller show and several unnamed staff behind the scenes who cut and diced the audiotape. The lawsuit is for multiple counts of defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, eavesdropping and more. The attorney going after Mancow has gone after him previously and has a specialty in defamation law it appears. Mancow Muller had come to see that James MacDonald was a fraud. After endorsing Harvest Bible Chapel for years he regretted doing that and supporting Harvest. According to Robert Feder this is what Mancow said about publicizing the issues with MacDonald. “For me this has always been about trying to help people and trying to expose a bad guy,” Muller said. “For years I had endorsed [McDonald] and his church. When I found out the truth, I felt it was my duty to tell my listeners.” If you would like to read more about the lawsuit you can do so in the following posts.

The Behavior of a Narcissist and Thoughts on the Situation

After giving you the facts up above this is my take on the situation with James MacDonald. Mancow Muller called James MacDonald a con-man. And he is correct. It is this blog’s belief that James MacDonald is a con-man. The lawsuit came after James MacDonald supposedly apologized for the first lawsuit. I guess that apology was short lived. This action also comes after the Harvest financial audit which revealed how much money James MacDonald abused. After all it was learned that James MacDonald violated Harvest’s 501(c)(3) status. You can read more about the audit in, “Analysis of the Financial Audit of Harvest Bible Chapel and Concerns Which Exist.” What you are seeing is how a narcissist is acting and behaving. James can’t admit error. He is psychologically incapable of doing that properly. James only exists for James and he has spent his life being a very successful con artist. After all at Harvest he convinced people to give money and ultimately subsidize his extravagant lifestyle. That is what campaigns like 5G and Closer were all about. Subsidizing James safari’s and travel and financially supporting Kathy MacDonald’s alleged shopping trips to Target. By the way one question I would like to ask Kathy one day is that when you think of some of the stores in Chicago why make Target your main shopping choice? Why not go downtown and his some of the stores on Michigan Avenue? James in his behavior is showing a pattern. He is going to use lawsuits as a weapon to bully, intimidate and frighten people. Most of the time he is going to lose and he will stop the lawsuit to avoid discovery. But his intent is to do psychological terror in these lawsuits. Plus since James MacDonald is incapable of making an honest buck that is the second major reason why to expect more lawsuits from him. The lawsuit might be painful for Mancow but he can also use an attorney to do discovery as well. This blog wishes him well and hopes he can dig around even deeper into James MacDonald’s finances.

Note This is James MacDonald’s Future in About Ten Years

Friends, former Harvest Bible Chapel members and those in the Chicago community and whoever finds this post. James MacDonald is in the process of skyrocketing to the bottom. I think a good example for James MacDonald to follow is disgraced preacher Jim Bakker from Praise the Lord Ministries. Jim Bakker went from con-man in South Carolina in the 1980’s to an even bigger con-man today. To make my point watch the video above. Word of advice don’t watch it before breakfast, lunch or dinner. That video is where James MacDonald is going to be in about 10 years. He will be down in Branson, Missouri having a TV show on cable and selling food to survive the end times. Can you imagine James MacDonald standing over a bucket of rice as well as cheese and broccoli and just eating away while he will try and get people on fixed incomes to buy his food kits? Harvest Bible Chapel community this is where James MacDonald is going to be in a few years. James is just digging himself a hole.  Its going to be disappointing to watch but that is the path James will choose out of his narcissism.

  1. I just cannot see Mancow taking this lying down.
More likely he’s going to come back swinging.
Does he still have all those tapes?
If so, his show is going to get a lot more “interesting”.

Not riding a tricycle around the Chicago Loop with a midget balanced on his shoulders?

  2. I tried commenting here earlier but my comment must have been lost in the interwebs…

Mancow will lose this suit because it’s clear he commited libel. Mancow knows that, he has lots of experience being sued and settling. You can’t take an unauthorized recording and selectively edit it to misrepresent the conversation and broadcast that out on air. The child porn comment was a joke “headline” in context of the full audio, just like Roy’s on a tricycle. Yet you people continue to shout about how it was a plot to plant child porn. It’s not only pathetic to buy into Mancow’s show as a serious representation of anything at all, ever, but it also proves MacDonald’s case. He’ll be walking away with a check thanks to Mancow. But worse, he’ll be able to hold it out as an excuse to play victim and scam more people. Congrats to all the keyboard warriors that can’t distinguish real and fake BS, legitimized Mancow (of all people), and gave James this redemptive way out instead of letting him, in the words of Mike Tyson, slowly fade into Bolivian.
