Preserving the Tweets on Twitter that Document the Liberty University Protest Against Jerry Falwell Jr on September 13, 2019

This brief post documents and preserves the tweets on Twitter that deal with the Jerry Falwell Jr protest by Liberty University students on September 13, 2019.

“Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph.”

Haile Selassie

“A man dies when he refuses to stand up for that which is right. A man dies when he refuses to stand up for justice. A man dies when he refuses to take a stand for that which is true.”

Martin Luther King

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

1 John 4:6 NIV

Jerry Falwell Jr

On September 13, 2019 a group of Liberty University students protested Jerry Falwell Jr on campus and called for change. This post documents the protest being organized, covered and occurring on Twitter.  I grabbed most of the tweets and inserted them into this post.  You can read them below. One note I would like to make, Jerry Falwell Jr blocked me on Twitter a couple of years back so I can’t capture his response.

  1. Have these 20 been expelled yet? Followed by cease-and-desists and lawsuits for everything they’ve got by JFJ’s “Meanest Lawyer in all New York”?
(“New York”? Wonder who he got the legal referral from?)
