A Challenge The Wondering Eagle has to Christ Community Church’s Andrew Jones and the Pastoral Staff

This post is a challenge to Andrew Jones of the EFCA’s Christ Community Church in the Kansas City metropolitan area. What would Andrew or one of the pastors on staff say to the person in the photo? How would you respond if you could?

“Doubt is useful, it keeps faith a living thing. After all, you cannot know the strength of your faith until it has been tested.”

David Magee

22 And have mercy on those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment[a] stained by the flesh.

Jude 22-23 ESV

This blog has attended atheist and secular humanist events to observe, watch and talk to people. In light of a recent blog post at the website of Christ Community Church this blog has a challenge for Andrew Jones or the pastoral staff. The picture up above is one of the many I took when I attended the Reason Rally here in Washington, D.C. The Reason Rally was a secular and atheist event in 2016 that attracted people like Bill Maher, Richard Dawkins, David Silverman, Hemant Mehta and so many more. What I would like to do is challenge the staff to a response. It can be published on the Christ Community Church blog or in other ways. Read the sign from the attender and I ask you, how would you engage? What response would you say to a person if you could? How you want to respond is up to you, but the goal of this post is to stimulate some discussion.
