The Wondering Eagle was blocked on Twitter by Mark Driscoll’s The Trinity Church in Scottsdale, Arizona. All it took was two hours. This post is a Twitter feed of how it happened. All I asked is when is Driscoll going to preach on oral sex at The Trinity Church like he did at Destiny Church Edinburgh in 2007.

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

The other day I wrote about a controversial sermon Mark Driscoll gave in 2007. It pretty much defined his “ministry” and followed him in his era of Mars Hill Seattle. The sermon was the controversial Song of Solomon and Driscoll’s beliefs on oral sex. You can read the sermon in, “Reflecting on a Controversial Mark Driscoll Sermon About how a Repentant Woman Gets on Her Knees and Performs Oral Sex.” Earlier I sent out some Tweets in pushing the post. But I also wanted to tweet it to The Trinity Church in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mark Driscoll’s personal Twitter account has long blocked me. But I still could tweet to The Trinity Church
A Tweet to The Trinity Church with a Question and Being Blocked
So I wanted to see how long it would take The Trinity Church as led by Mark Driscoll to block me on Twitter. You can follow the Twitter thread below. This is the original tweet I sent out.
That was followed by
And then that was met by
Who Has Blocked me on Twitter?
I have been blocked by all the major players who are entangled in controversy and scandal. James MacDonald blocked me after a few tweets in writing about the Harvest Bible Chapel scandal. C.J. Mahaney and Sovereign Grace also blocked me. I tweeted to Mahaney that I was grateful for the Sovereign Grace lawsuit and that it helped me with the problem of evil and that I looked forward to it resuming. That got me blocked immediately. Ed Stetzer blocked me on Twitter when I pointed out issues in a Christianity Today article he wrote and worked on a response. Mark Dever of Capitol Hill Baptist also blocked me on Twitter. And some individual Neo-Calvinist pastors here and there. Some personalities in the EFCA, such as Bob Rowley the EFCA Texas and Oklahoma District superintendent also blocked me. For me I am indifferent on the topic, it actually reveals more about them then myself. But information still penetrates those places as people have told me that they read my posts. One thing to point out is that I have never been blocked by any of the atheists or secular humanists. I love the crowd and how they think!
