Wenatchee the Hatchet who has chronicled Mars Hill Church in Seattle recently wrote a post at his blog that looked at the relationship between James MacDonald and Mark Driscoll’s Mars Hill Church. This is a good read that I would encourage.
“Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art.”
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
Luke 2:8-11 NIV
This is a brief post but due to traffic and the story of Harvest Bible Chapel I want to recommend a solid read. Wenatchee the Hatchet lives in the Seattle area. In the past he was involved in Mark Driscoll’s Mars Hill church. Wenatchee is trained as a journalist and he wrote what I consider to be one of the best blogs about Mark Driscoll and Mars Hill Church. As Mars Hill became consumed by scandal Wenatchee wrote and covered it. When Julie Roys wrote about the $50,000 gift to Mark Driscoll Wenatchee wrote a post about the relationship between Mark Driscoll and James MacDonald. In his article he looks at the role James MacDonald played in Mars Hill. This is a good read and I would recommend that people read this article. You can read the article in, “Julie Roys article at WORLD mentions a 50k gift given by HBC/James MacDonald to Mark Driscoll to help launch of The Trinity Church, an overview of MacDonald’s role in Mars Hill board leadership.”
