James MacDonald is Out at the Southern Baptist Pastor’s Conference. Was He Held Accountable for the First Time in His Life?

James MacDonald is out as a speaker at Southern Baptist Pastors Conference for 2019. This is major news and this blog would like to ask the question. Did James withdraw or did Danny Wood force him out? James has been exempt from the consequences of his actions due to his position in Harvest Bible Chapel. Is this the first time in his life that he has had to face the consequences of his actions?

“Equality can feel like oppression. But it’s not. What you’re feeling is just the discomfort of losing a little bit of your privilege.”

From a Huffington Post article

“When we lose the right to be different, we lose the privilege to be free.”

Charles Evan Hughes

“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has come to his people and redeemed them.
69 He has raised up a horn[a] of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David
70 (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),

Luke 1:68-70 NIV

There is some more developments with James MacDonald and Harvest Bible Chapel, lets look at some recent news.

James MacDonald is Out as Speaker of Southern Baptist Pastors Conference in 2019

The news came as a Tweet which you can see below.

James MacDonald is no longer going to be a speaker at the Southern Baptist Pastors Conference in June of 2019 in Birmingham. Alabama. The head of the conference Danny Wood said that James MacDonald is “stepping away” from speaking “for a season.” The news was announced through Twitter on December 17, and was covered by the Baptist Press. Danny Wood claimed that James MacDonald personally contacted  him and withdrew. James MacDonald has spoken at the SBC Pastors Conference four times. According to Baptist Press it was at the Pastors Conference in 2015 that James MacDonald announced that he would be “cooperating” with the Southern Baptists. It was during this time that Harvest Bible Chapel affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. Andrew Brunson the evangelical pastor who was imprisoned in Turkey is going to be speaking in James MacDonald’s place.

Was James MacDonald Forced Out or Did He Pull Out?

Here is the question that needs to be asked in this situation. Did James MacDonald withdraw or did the Southern Baptist Pastor’s Conference force him out? Was he given the boot by Danny Wood and was it made to look like he withdrew? How I wish I could be a fly on the wall in some of the scheming conversations that on behind the scenes. Yes its not Capitol Hill, Tammany Hall or Daley’s Chicago. Yes there is no heavy cigar smoke filled rooms, but still there is church politics that go on behind the scenes. In the wake of the #MeToo movement and what happened to Paige Patterson was James MacDonald just too hot? If this blog can find more information in  this area I would love to write about this situation. If you know more about this then please contact me.

Is this the First Time in James MacDonald’s Life that He was Held Accountable?

The news of James MacDonald pulling out of the Pastors Conference for 2019 is huge. That can’t be underestimated and must be considered for what it is. And for me in writing about this situation it leads to another question that needs to be posed. Is this the first time in James MacDonald’s life that he was held accountable for his behavior?  Stop and consider some of what has happened under his watch.

  1. You have the way James MacDonald pulled Harvest Bible Chapel out of Harvest Bible Fellowship. According to what I have read James MacDonald did that alone.
  2. James MacDonald wasted $20 million dollars of steel at Harvest Bible Chapel Elgin. James MacDonald from what I heard drove John Waterlek off the project. You can read more in, “Harvest Bible Chapel Elgin, “General Contractor James MacDonald”, and $20 Million Dollars of Wasted Money in Steel.
  3. James MacDonald has an anger problem. He has allegedly used a black budget to pay off people. For example a while back James MacDonald had a violent altercation with a body guard. Money from the black budget was used to buy his silence. The black budget kept James MacDonald from facing the consequences of his actions. “Walk in the Word, a Black Budget at Harvest Bible Chapel and Finances that Resemble a Criminal Syndicate More Than a Ministry.

Due to his position of power and privilege James MacDonald has really not faced any consequences for his actions. He has bullied, yelled, screamed, threatened, and did this regularly and has been able to get away with it. Harvest Bible Chapel is a personality cult that centers around James MacDonald. James has always gotten his way due to the privileges that came along with his position.  He knew this that is why he bullied his staff, Harvest Bible Chapel pastors, and more. James MacDonald knew he could get away with it.

In this blog opinion that changed with Julie Roys article in World magazine. James is now facing consequences for his actions. Pulling out of the Southern Baptist Pastors Conference could very well be the first time James MacDonald has faced consequences from his behavior. It is this blogs hope that it is the beginning and that the empire of James MacDonald comes to an end.
