A former evangelical explains her experience in Campus Crusade for Christ. Gloria explains why she de-converted and pushed back from evangelicalism. I want to add this story to my archives. This will be a brief post but I hope you can watch the videos.
“Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.”
Do not pass by my epitaph, traveler.
But having stopped, listen and learn, then go your way.
There is no boat in Hades, no ferryman Charon,
No caretaker Aiakos, no dog Cerberus.
All we who are dead below
Have become bones and ashes, but nothing else.
I have spoken to you honestly, go on, traveler,
Lest even while dead I seem talkative to you.

Atheist material from the Reason Rally
I have some atheist posts in the works but as I research and type away I want to put these two videos for people to watch and consider. I find this interesting because I was once involved in Campus Crusade for Christ. On YouTube I found these videos about someone’s experience in Campus Crusade. In the second video she explains why she leaves. Hemant Mehta at The Friendly Atheist also covered this story. This is going to be a brief post but I want to write about this and file it away. I think stories like Gloria’s need to be told. In watching this she discusses some of the myths and issues in evangelicalism. For example one of the things she talks about is how she watched her mother overcome a drug addiction without God. Please watch and discuss. That’s it for the day guys!
