Recommended Read: Psychology Today on “Anti-Intellectualism” and the Dumbing Down of the United States

An older article from Psychology Today is put up in a quick post. The article deals with the dumbing down of the United States and how anti-intellectualism poses a threat. This is an article that I thought would be worth a read and a follow on to a recent article about Ken Ham that was written not long ago.

“Education is a better safeguard of liberty than a standing army.”

Edward Everett

“Learning is not attained by chance; it must be sought for with ardour and attended to with diligence.”

Abigail Adams

“Education costs money, but then so does ignorance.”

Claus Moser

Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes.

Proverbs 19:2 NLT

Lincoln Memorial at night

I was reading the other day and doing some research when I came across an older Psychology Today article that I think still has a lot of truth to it The article was published in 2014 and deals with the anti-intellectualism going on in he United States.  The article is called “Anti-Intellectualism and the “Dumbing Down” of America.” In the article it also makes a reference to knowledge of history and education in decline, and also how some people reject evolution and science. Given the issues I have written about recently with Ken Ham I thought this article is a good one to read. If you want to read the latest with Ken Ham you can do so in “Ken Ham is Trolled by the Freedom From Religion Foundation, Meanwhile he Attacks Atheists and the Media, is Under Scrutiny by Kentucky, Plus He Blames Hurricanes on Sin.” That’s it guys, I will see you later!
