Today we’re going back to classical music, however I am not going to spend a lot of time on Tchaikovsky. I just think his works are brilliant. He is the first Russian composer from what I read whose music became known internationally. He is known for symphonies, concertos, operas, ballets, and chamber music. On top of that he became a guest composer both in Europe and before Carnegie Hall. Today I am going to feature his first five symphonies. If you want to learn more about him you can do so here.
Symphony No. 1 in G Minor
Symphony No 2 “Little Russian” (Detroit Symphony)
Symphony No 3 in D Major “Polish”
Symphony No 4 (New York Philharmonic)
Symphony No 5 E Minor (New York Philharmonic)
