Pal Joey is a musical that came out in 1940. It was written by Richard Rogers and Lorenez Hart. It is based off a series of short stories published in the New Yorker. The title character has an affair with a middle aged female named Vera Simpson. It has had several revivals and was staged into a film in 1957.
