Evangelicals and Art: Call Me Madam

Call Me Madam is a musical by Irving Berlin. It is a satire on politics and foreign policy and came out in 1950. It is based on US Ambassador Perle Mesta who served to Luxemburg. The song “I Like Ike” from this musical became the theme for Eisenhower’s presidential 1952 campaign. If you are pressed for time I would suggest “You’re Just in Love” and “The Hostess with the Mostess” Have a great weekend.
