Community Evangelical Free Update: Go Fund Me Set up for Hurit and Domestic Abuse Ministry in Morgantown, Pennsylvania

The community of Elverson responds to a horrific case of abusive church discipline orchestrated by Steve Estes and Community Evangelical Free Church. This is a Go Fund Me that  will support Hurit and help establish a domestic abuse ministry in Morgantown, Pennsylvania.

“Well done it better than well said.”

Benjamin Franklin

“Trust only movement. Life happens at the level of events, not of words. Trust movement.”

Alfred Adler

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

James 1:27 NIV

This is a brief update on the situation with Community Evangelical Free Church in Elverson, Pennsylvania. There is a congregation meeting next Monday of which I am aware. Also there are more posts in the works, if all goes well next week I will have a detailed analysis of the elder board and each elder who was involved in the questionable church discipline of Hurit. I am committed to writing about this until justice comes, law enforcement is involved, and the situation in Elverson is resolved. Steve Estes and the Elder Board need to repent. Brock Estes needs to turn himself into law enforcement. The Evangelical Free Church out of Minneapolis needs to deal with the situation at Community Evangelical Free Church.

If you are not familiar with the situation, Brock Estes the Senior Pastor’s son who is a guard at the Berks County Jail allegedly raped his wife while intoxicated. On another occasion he allegedly pointed a loaded gun at her. Brock had many issues from alcohol to pornography, yet when Hurit filed for divorce Steve Estes who is the main biographer of Joni Ercikson Tada, Westminster Theological Professor of Practical Theology, and Senior Pastor of Community Evangelical Free Church orchestrated and schemed the ex-communication of his daughter-in-law. Hurit allegedly endured horrific domestic abuse and was run out of town. This has been an issue that has caused great anger in the community of Elverson.

There have been many people who have wanted to do something, and this afternoon Lori Stoltzfus Plank put together a Go Fund Me to help Hurit recover from this situation and fund a domestic abuse ministry in the Morgantown, Pennsylvania area called Still Waters Ministries. This blog is throwing its support behind this effort and Dee Parsons at the Wartburg Watch who has also written about Steve Estes and Community Evangelical Free Church is going to promote this effort. Lets all roll behind this, and let’s show Community Evangelical Free Church what the body of Christ can do.

Here is the link to the Go Fund Me in this horrific situation. Let’s rise to the occasion church!

  1. Keep up the good work David! Happy to hear of the Go Fund Me account being set up. There are good people in this town and little by little the good ones will overcome the bad ones. 🙏🙏
