Evangelicals and Art: Richard Wagner

I am going back to classical music and putting up some samples from Richard Wagner. Wagner is a German composer who lived from 1813 to 1883. He is best known for his operas. His music stands out in many ways for complex texture, rich harmonies beautiful orchestration. He has done other writing which has been controversial, however,  today I am just focusing on some of his music. I hope you have a great weekend! Its cloudy and rainy here in the nation’s capitol.

Ride of the Valkyries

Tannhäuser Overture

Lohengrin – Prelude

Gotterdammerung

Symphony in C Major

Der Ring des Nibelungen

Tristan Und Isolde
