Today I decided to feature a gem by Stephen Sondheim called Sunday in the Park with George. The musical was inspired by a painting that hangs in the Art Institute of Chicago called “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” which was done by French Post-Impressionist Georges Seuret. The musical opened in 1984 and has been popular and had several revivals. Below I included several musical numbers so I hope you enjoy! I think the lead song Sunday is one of Sondheim’s finest.
