Evangelicals and Art: The Musical Chess

Chess as a musical was probably one of the most famous Broadway flops. It lasted a brief time before it closed, but its score and music have lived on and been done in concerts, special cast albums and featured in the pop genre. The most well known song is “One Night in Bangkok”. Chess was written by Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus who formerly came from ABBA. The musical is about a chess game set against the Cold War. If you like what you see below you can find multiple albums of Chess at Amazon. The songs below are some samples and in the future I plan on having musical songs from Miss Saigon which is what Lea Salanga is known for, and Evita, and Cats which is what Elaine Paige is known for. You probably know who Josh Groban is so there should be no need for introduction. Next weekend will be classical music.
